After The Lottery
Applications for the Moderate Income Lottery will be screened in order of
their lottery ranking. There are three components of the screening process:
1. Verifying the applicant's employment and income eligibility according to
the current moderate income limits.
2. Securing conditional loan approval.
3. Obtaining City of Novato approval.
Income Documentation
Please do not submit any documents unless specifically requested.
When we contact you regarding your interest in purchasing, you will have two weeks to submit the following documentation for all adult members of your household that are 18 years and older:
- The previous 3 years signed federal tax returns with all schedules (IRS Form 1040). Please re-sign the copies of the returns using blue ink.
- The previous 3 years W-2's
- 1 month's most recent pay stubs (if applicable)
- Current year Profit and Loss statement (if applicable)
- 2 month's most recent bank statements from your bank, credit union, brokerage accounts and retirement accounts ö all pages
- Name, address and phone number of landlord(s) for the past two years or home owners submit the name, address and phone number of current home loan servicer.
- Additional documentation may include but is not limited to: final divorce decree or legal separation papers, documentation for periodic payments (i.e. workman's compensation), rental or lease agreements for investment property owned.
